
The Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals of the Jubbaland State of Somalia has today convened a high-level consultative meeting aimed at reviewing and refining the region’s draft policy on the importation, distribution, and sale of petroleum products.
The forum, officially opened by the Ministry’s Director General, Ayanle Hussein, brought together key stakeholders including senior government officials, representatives from the Jubbaland Chamber of Commerce, traditional elders, and technical experts.
This strategic dialogue marks a significant step toward establishing a transparent and robust legal framework to govern petroleum operations across Jubbaland region. The discussions focused on ensuring that the emerging policy aligns with both regional needs and international best practices.
