Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre appointed two new members to the Council of Cabinet on Wednesday.
Abdikarim Abdow Haidar was appointed the Minister of State for Transport and Aviation, while Ahmed Jama Omar was appointed the Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation.
In January, General Sulub Ahmed Firin left his position as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport after the government appointed him the country’s police commissioner.
While State Minister for Transportation, Mohamed Ali Omar (Ananug), resigned suddenly from his post last February, citing the Ministry’s gross incompetence and mismanagement as reasons for his departure.
