His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met separately this morning with a number of heads of state and government, and heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries participating in the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), at Qatar National Convention Centre.
They included Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye, Slovenia President Natasha Burke-Mussar, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed.
During the meetings, they discussed the co-operation relations between Qatar and their countries and prospects for enhancing them, in addition to the topics on the conference agenda. The meetings were attended by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, HE the Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and a number of senior officials.
