The Special Representative of the Somali Federal government on drought relief, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame has yesterday night held a virtual online meeting with federal member state ministers for humanitarian affairs, officials from the PM’s office and Somali federal ministry of humanitarian affairs.
The virtual meeting discussed the priorities of Drought Relief and how to work together to help the Somali people affected by the drought.
The Ministers commended the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia for his priorities for Drought Relief and for appointing a Special Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Drought Relief.
The Ministers also pledged their full co-operation with the Special Representative, welcoming the momentum of the Office of the Special Representative for Drought Relief.
The SRSG and Ministers of the Federal Member States agreed to raise public awareness and work together to provide relief to those affected by the drought.
