The Vice President of Puntland State of Somalia, Ahmed Elmi Osman Karaash, has today received a delegation led by the Head of UNSOM, Guy Griffin at his office.
The meeting discussed security issues, the drought situation, the Federal Government of Somalia elections, the holding of district commissioners in Qardho, Eyl and Ufayn.
The Head of UNSOM has commended the good work done by Puntland state in poll and democracy matters.
The Puntland state Vice President has reaffirmed his commitment to the election of three district commissioners and the development of democracy, thanking the delegation for their visit and for their good cooperation with Puntland regional state of Somalia.
