The Jubbaland state Minister for Internal Security, Major General Yusuf Hussein Osman Dhumal, has today received in his office a delegation from the Hala Trust, an organization that works to eliminate landmines and weapons remnants and storage.
The meeting was attended by Jubbaland Police Chief Sadiq Mohamed Dhogor and discussed the issue of landmines and weapons remnants and how to raise public awareness of the dangers of explosives.
Addressing the media, the Jubbaland state Minister for Internal Security said elimination of landmines and remnants of deadly war weapons would be a right step towards safety.
” Eliminating all the remnants of deadly weapons in Jubbaland regional state of Somalia would result in safety of everyone here. This is something that we need to look into”, Said Jubbaland state Minister for Internal Security.
