Somalia, Norway discuss security and diplomacy issues

Somali Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisaid Muse Ali had a telephone conversation with his Norwegian counterpart Anniken Huitfeldt.

The two Ministers discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Somalia and Norway, and the development of cooperation in the areas of security, diplomacy, development and in general issues of mutual interest.
The talks also focused on Horn of Africa issues. The Somali Foreign Minister thanked the Norwegian government for its support to Somalia.

The Somali government has in recent weeks made efforts to strengthen foreign relations, and has succeeded in restoring ties between Somalia and the United Arab Emirates.
