The Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with other agencies of the Federal Government of Somalia, has made significant efforts to respond to and address the plight of Somali citizens in Sudan, by successfully deporting Somali nationals living in that country and exempt them from residence allowance, fines and business card payments.

The decision, which came into effect 10 days ago, came as a result of the good cooperation and relations between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Sudan, in which the two Governments agreed to serve their citizens in the two countries equally with the exception of all such expenses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia has thanked the Government of Sudan for its support to the Government of Somalia and this opportunity which will benefit almost 7,000 students and 300 Somali families in Sudan.
