Jubbaland regional state President, Ahmed Mohamed Islam yesterday spoke about the political situation in the country during a long speech at a public forum in Kismayo.
Ahmed Mohamed Islam extensively spoke about the country’s electoral process, saying that Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble is committed to holding free and fair elections in the country.
He said: “Prime Minister, your responsibility to the nation is clear and we stand by you. Hold free elections in this country without a knife in your hand.”
The Jubbaland state president also spoke about the agreements reached, saying, “Jubbaland’s position on the elections is that all agreements must be respected. The Prime Minister cannot do his job and become independent”, Said Ahmed Mohamed Islam.
He also spoke about the case of missing NISA agent Ikraan Tahliil saying that it was necessary for the missing spy agent and her family to receive justice without being left-handed.
