The organizing committee of the General Assembly of the Journalists Association of Jubaland is pleased to announce the schedule and date for the upcoming Journalists Association of Jubaland gathering.
The three-day conference will take place in Kismayo from September 28-30, 2021 and it is open for every journalist or media practitioner in the region who fills out the registration form for attending the event. The interested participants will be contacted by the conference organizing committee for additional information.
The organizing committee would like to take this opportunity to inform the Jubaland media community that the conference will seek to approve the association’s bylaws followed by the election of the election commission and its senior leadership. We, therefore, call upon all candidates who want to contest for the top positions in the organization to prepare for and look forward to the election.
Finally, the organizing committee of General Assembly of the Journalists Association of Jubaland urges the Jubbaland Media community to play their part in ensuring that the elections are held in a transparent, free and fair manner.
