Jubbaland Electoral Commission inspects polling stations
The chairman of the Jubbaland Electoral Commission Siyaad Mohamed Mursal, accompanied by election security officials from AMISOM paid a courtesy visit to the venue where the upcoming bicameral elections of Somalia parliament are expected to take place.
The chairman who exclusively spoke to Radio Kismayo said their visit today was about site visit and reiterated that they are ready to hold elections for both houses of parliament.
The visit of the committee and security officials to the polling stations of the upper and lower houses of the Somali parliament coincides with the final preparations for the elections and according to the schedule, the upper house elections are expected to take place on 25th of this month which is tomorrow.
