The Minister for Women affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia Hanifa Mohamed Habsade who spoke to the media in Wajid spoke about the problems in the district, and the siege imposed by Al-Shabaab in the district.
Hanifa Mohamed said the Al-Shabaab terror militant group had imposed sanctions on Wajid and other areas under its control and called on residents to unite against the Al-Shabaab terror outfit.
She also pointed out the need of of reopening roads blocked by al-Shabaab fighters.
The Al-Shabaab terror group has laid siege to Wajid district in Bakol region affecting residents in the district.
