The Somali government has begun efforts to find a solution to the conflict in parts of the Hiran region.
Somali Minister for Interior, Federalism and Reconciliation Mukhtar Hussein Afrah is spearheading efforts to end the conflict in the Hiran region.
The minister met with the two warring communities and their traditional elders.
They discussed solutions to end the conflict between the communities in Hiraan.
Minister Afrah indicated that both communities had accepted his offer, saying he was optimistic that it would be implemented.
He also called on the other warring clans in Mataban district to reconcile as they are brothers in the same area.
