Details are emerging of an attack on civilians in Warshiikh district in Middle Shabelle region.
The civilians are said to have been injured and killed during the hours long attack.
The attack in Warshiikh district has left three people dead and two others injured.
Traditional elders and the district administration have launched an investigation into who was behind the attack.
Sources say that elders, intellectuals and government officials are today heading to Warshiikh district.
The attack was carried out by unknown gunmen. A mother was killed along with her 40-day-old baby and her 3-year-old son.
The gunmen also wounded another woman and her son at the house where the attack took place on the outskirts of Warsheikh district.
