President of the Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam and his accompanying delegation received a grand and heartfelt welcome today upon their arrival in Garoowe, the capital of Puntland.
Upon landing at Garoowe Airport, President Ahmed Islam was warmly received by Puntland President, Said Abdullahi Deni and senior officials from the Puntland administration. The reception underscored the strong ties and mutual respect between the two regional states.
President Deni praised the visit, emphasizing its significance in strengthening unity and fostering national development across Somalia.
“These kinds of engagements are vital for our collective progress and solidarity,” he noted.
In his remarks, President Ahmed expressed deep gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by President Deni and the people of Puntland. He commended the high-level arrangements made for his delegation, reflecting the spirit of Somali brotherhood and cooperation.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the Jubbaland delegation was escorted to the official guest residence in Garoowe, where a series of high-level meetings are scheduled to take place in the coming days.
