The Jubbaland Minister for Fisheries and Blue Economy, Ahmed Hassan Omar and the Director General of the Ministry today met with the Jubbaland community living in the coastal town of Mombasa, Kenya.
In the meeting, Investment in fisheries production on the shores of Jubbaland sea and how this could uplift the living standards of the local businessmen was discussed.
The Jubbaland Fisheries minister, Ahmed Hassan Omar said that fishing off the coast of Jubbaland is an important business opportunity and the people of Jubbaland state should take advantage of it.
He also stressed the Jubbaland government’s commitment to give full support to people and businessmen who want to partake in the developing the fisheries sector and the blue economy of the Jubbaland regional state.
The Jubbaland community in Mombasa thanked the Minister’s delegation and pledged to impart their fishing skills to the Jubbaland community so that it benefits them and hence contribute to the economic development of the region.
