The Jubbaland Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has issued a press statement requesting all the community and the administration of Gedo region that Abdullahi Abdi Jama (Shimbir) who was the governor of Gedo region has been under investigation for quite sometime relating to an embezzlement of donations meant for flood affected population in Gedo region.
The governor is said to have misappropriated the donations while in Mogadishu.
Therefore, the Interior ministry has declared to the regional and district level authorities in Gedo region that Abdullahi Abdi Jama ceases to work for the Jubbaland government and that the investigation will continue on his case and further submitted to the office of the prosecution so that the people’s embezzled donations could be recovered.
