Somalia’s Minister for Defense, Abduqadir Mohamed Noor has today met with the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Somalia, Catriona Laing and the UNICEF representative, Wafaa Said in Mogadishu.
The meeting stressed the importance of the Somali government in child protection and preventing abuse meted against children in Somalia.
The Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Representative of UNICEF praised the efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia in protecting the rights of children.
