Construction of new paved raods in Kismayo town increases business and economic growth
The new roads that have recently been paved and constructed in Kismayo town have led to a business boom and eased traffic along major roads that was previously a nightmare for road users due heavy traffic snarl ups,
The road that connects Dagax Jabinta area stretching along to Hotel Tawakal in Kismayo town was among the first road to be constructed and initially created traffic challenges for motorists. The long stretch used to accomodated a host of cars including heavy trucks.
The stretch was in existence even after the collapse of the central government of Somalia. The long stretch has attracted many commercial establishments along the road as well as high end petrol stations,
Mohamed Omar Ahmed, one of the businessmen along the stretch said the business aspects have tremendously improved since the construction of the roads.
The new roads have also benefitted taxi drivers who use the road on a daily basis for their taxi business,
