Turkish government says it would strengthen its support for the Somali Army

The Turkish government has condemned the suicide bombing that targeted the police chief of Banadir region, Farhan Qaroole.

The Turkish government said it was deeply shocked by the death of the police chief of Banadir region.

“We are very sorry for the demise of Gen. Farhan Qarole after he lost his life in a terrorist attack that happened in Mogadishu. We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends and the Somali people,” Read a statement from the Turkish government.

The Turkish government also said that it will continue to support the central government and boost the strength of the Somali security forces.

“We will continue to support the fight against terrorism and strengthen the Somali military capacity to fight against terrorism in Somalia.” The Turkish statement further read.
