The President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has today chaired the Jubbaland state Council of Ministers meeting to discuss a raft of issues.
The Jubbaland state President shared with the council of ministers the results and procedures of the recent testing of the Directors General of some government ministries, pointing out that the reason for choosing a foreign company to conduct the test was to avoid bias and nepotism and that the ministries would be competent in fulfilling their duties well.
The Jubbaland state president also spoke about youth employment, noting that youth empowerment and employment will be considered and given priority so that they do not fall victim to crime activities as well as resorting to migration and taking desperate journeys to Europe as is the case with Somali youths.
Meanwhile, the Jubbaland Ministry of Security briefed the cabinet on the Jubaland security situation. The ministry reported on the latest work the Ministry and security agencies has been undertaking.
The Jubbaland Ministry of Finance haa also reported on the Ministry’s plan for 2022/2023 to improve Jubbaland’s gross domestic product (GDP).
