The Somali Police Force Commander, Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, has on Monday evening made an official work visit to Rwanda.
On arrival, the Somali Police Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the Rwandan Police Commissioner Dan Munyuza.
The two discussed strengthening of ties and boosting bilateral cooperation between the Police Forces.
The two Commanders will hold a series of meetings to discuss the development of traditional relations between the two countries’ police forces, in cooperation in the areas of information exchange, counter-terrorism, stabilization strategies and social reconciliation and to enhance the training provided by the Government of Rwanda to the Somali Police Force as well as signing a Memorandum of Understanding on these key issues.
During his stay in Rwanda, the Somali Police Force Commander, Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, will officiate graduation ceremony for some Somali Police Force officers who have undergone advanced training in Rwanda.
