The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Gelle, on the 45th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The Somali President congratulated the government and people of Djibouti on this historic occasion as part of the common heritage of all Somalis, and a reflection of the united struggle of the Somali people against colonial rule.
“My brothers and sisters in Djibouti, the government believe the people, are a force to be reckoned with today. We share with you this historic occasion, thanking you for your brotherly role in rebuilding Somalia’s statehood.”
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, wished the people of Djibouti and their government a lasting peace and prosperity.
