The Jubbaland Youth Council has welcomed the recent announcement by the new Somali President on his youth development plan to focus on creating employment opportunities for youth and strengthening the relationship between the youth and the Government.
The chairman of the Jubbaland youth council, Ahmed Mohamed Taqal who exclusively spoke to Radio Kismayo said that they welcome the new president’s statement but said that most of the country’s leaders make promises when they come to power which are not entirely fulfilled but hopeful the new Somali President will make true his promises.
The Youth Council Chairman said that the Jubbaland youth council champions and fights for the rights of Jubbaland youths just the same as other youth councils in the country adding that the Jubbaland youth council held a youth conference in Kismayo last year which brought together youth across different regions in the country.
