The Jubbaland Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed has last night took part in a virtual online meeting organized by the office of the Humanitarian Envoy led by Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame.
The meeting was attended by regional state humanitarian affairs and disaster management ministers and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The online virtual meeting focused on prioritizing drought relief and how to stand up for the rescue of the Somali community struggling with the effects of the biting drought.
“We welcomed the envoy together and promised full cooperation. We also commend the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia for his commitment to humanitarian issues and drought relief,” Said Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed.
The officials also agreed to raise public awareness and work together to help the Somali community as the effects of the droughts rages on.
