The Minister of Education, Culture and higher learning of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Abdullahi Abukar Haji, has launched the next 5 year National Education Plan, 2022-2026 for Somalia.
The National Education Plan, which has been in preparation for almost a year and a half (16 Months), is the second plan prepared by the Ministry of Education in more than 30 years. It is also the first plan led by the Somali education Ministry.
The education plan prioritizes the education needs of the country and outlines the priorities for the education sector: Equal education and quality education.
“The Ministry of Education of the Federal Republic of Somalia would like to thank the Regional Administrations, the Education Community and the international donors for their positive role in participating in the National Education Plan which has been very successful,” Said Somali education minister during the launching event.
