The President of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has yesterday laid the foundation stone for the modernization of Elwak Airport in Gedo Region.
The President of Jubbaland stated that the formation of the District Councils of Gedo Region is ready and will begin in Elwaq District, following the ongoing projects and development of social services throughout the region.
Ahmed Mohamed Islam has added that they are ready to finance the modernization project of the airport in Elwaq District and will soon announce the contract and the company that will take over the modernization of the airport facility.
