The Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Farah Mukhtar Daud has today presided over the ministry’s monthly briefing which routinely focusses on the ministry’s key activities.
The meeting discussed the ministry’s recent efforts to respond to those still affected from the devastating effects of the drought.
The ministry staff who attended the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the minister, deputy minister and director general of the ministry for their efforts in recent days in assisting the ministry’s partners in providing assistance to drought-affected people on the northern outskirts of Kismayo.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister reported on recent meetings between the ministry and members of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) who arrived in Kismayo to be part of the relief efforts for the drought-affected people.
