Prime Minister Roble and US Ambassador discuss poll acceleration in Somalia

The Federal Government of Somalia Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has today met with the US Ambassador to Somalia, Larry Andre to discuss the country’s elections.
The Somali Prime Minister and Ambassador Andre discussed the election process and the need for the parliamentary elections to be completed as agreed upon by the leaders of the National Consultative Council on March 15th.

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has welcomed the pace of the election, with 80% of the members of parliament elected so far, while saying another delay in the election was unacceptable.

The Somali premier called on state presidents to complete the election by March 15th as previously agreed.
