The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing of the Jubbaland state has today held the bid opening and evaluation extension meeting for the Kismayo District Rehabilitation Project and the rehabilitation of Afmadow District Health Center in the Lower Juba region.
The bid opening and evaluation meeting was attended by the Jubbaland Minister for Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing Eng Ismail Ahmed Garas, Kismayo District Commissioner and Mayor Omar Abdullahi Mohamed (Faraweyne), ministry staff and 15 construction companies.
Kismayo District Commissioner and Mayor Omar Abdilahi Mohamed (Faraweyne) who spoke at the launch thanked the companies that took part in the bidding and assured that fairness will be the top most priority in the awarding of the construction contract.
Jubbaland Minister for Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing Eng Ismail Ahmed Garas, who officially launched the project said the company that will be awarded the contract will strictly work within the stipulated guidelines and follow the specified building codes and design specifications to the latter or face cancellation of its contract.
The bidding for the rehabilitation project will continue for two days.
