The Minister for Trade and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, Khalif Abdi Omar, has today suspended the Director General of the Somali Quality Assurance Agency, Aden Hassan Barre.
In a circular issued by Minister Khalif Abdi, the Somali trade and industry minister suspended the Director General of the Quality Assurance Agency, accusing him of various office abuses and lack of cooperation with other Authority officials.
The Minister of Trade and Industry has subsequently appointed the Deputy Director General of the Somali Quality Assurance Agency as the interim Director General of the Agency.
Minister Khalif Abdi Omar has also instructed all the various government agencies in collaboration with the Somali Quality Assurance Agency to work with and assist the newly appointed Interim Director General of the Agency.
