US drone strikes in Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen have dropped sharply in the first year of President Biden’s presidency.

A report by Airwars says there has been a 54% reduction in U.S. air strikes in those countries, compared to 2020.

President Joe Biden has made major changes to US airstrikes against extremist groups, after human rights groups expressed concern about civilian casualties.

It is believed that US airstrikes played a key role in targeting terrorists.

Somalia was last bombed by the United States in August last year 2020 on an Al-Shabaab base in the village of Camara in southern Mudug.

The US airstrikes were launched to aid a joint federal government and Galmudug forces major offensive against Al-Shabab terror group in Mudug.
