The Somali Minister for Defense has written to the Commander of the Armed Forces requesting the recall and summoning of up to five Army officers suspected in the December 27 incident in an attempt to seize the Office of the Prime Minister.
The commission of inquiry has been conducting inquiries and gathering information on the nature of the incident and who orchestrated it.
The Somali Army Commander was requested to order the Officers arrive at the Office of the State Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister on Saturday, January 8, at 10:00 am, to meet with the Commission of Inquiry appointed by the Somali Prime Minister.
The names of the officers summoned are top army officers including the Commander of the 77th Battalion and the Commander of the Red Caps of the Presidential Guard.
1. Colonel Hassan Aden Dhis, Commander of the 77th Battalion.
2. Major Shafi’i Nur Ahmed – senior head of the 77th Battalion.
3. Lieutenant Colonel Abdi Yasin Ali Kooshin -Commander of the 60th Regiment of the 77th Battalion.
4. Major Hassan Duwane Omar Commander of the 60th Regiment
5. Lieutenant Colonel Muse Mohamed Addow (Sharib) -Commander of the 60th Emergency Response Team.
