The president of Galmudug state Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoor Qoor) has met with the British ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster yesterday in Mogadishu.
The President and the British Ambassador discussed the current situation in the country related to President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Premier Mohamed Hussein Roble’s dispute and the country’s election issues.
“I am delighted to have met with the UK Ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster in Mogadishu. We discussed the latest developments in Mogadishu and the elections. We noted the urgent need to conclude the election as the only viable solution for Somalia,” He said.
On her part, Somali Ambassador to the United Kingdom Kate Foster thanked President Ahmed Kariye Qoor Qoor for his efforts in implementing the elections and called for need to fastrack the polls.
International community ambassadors to Somalia are holding various meetings with Somali political parties, calling for calm and speedy poll process.
