The Jubbaland state Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has conducted a two-day consultation workshop on the development of the Jubbaland civic education action plan which puts sharp focus on the rights of Somali citizens including access to education, health and basic services.
The consultation workshop which was held at a local hotel in Kismayo, Jubbaland state was attended by Members of the Jubbaland Ministries and Civil Society groups.
The consultation workshop was officiated by the Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Ali Arays Hassan.
The Director of the Jubbaland Ministry of Interior, Adan Farah Garane who spoke at the event for the development of the Civic Education Action Plan said it was critical for the ministries and civil society groups in Jubbaland state to participate in the development of the Civic Education Action Plan for Jubbaland state of Somalia.
“We call on you to join us in preparing the Civic Education Action Plan and your role is vital in this process,” Said Adan Farah Garane, Director of the Jubbaland Ministry of Interior.
Jubbaland Interior Minister, Ali Arays Hassan said he has requested participants of the consultation workshop event to contribute views and ideas on the ministry’s plans to come up with valuable civic education action plan.
“This meeting is important. You represent the ministries and the civil society. We want you to express your views and bring up ideas that will form the basis of the Jubbaland civic education action plan,” Said Ali Arays Hassan, Jubbaland’s deputy interior minister.
