Somalia attends International Education Review Conference in Dubai

The Minister for Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Abukar Haji and his delegation have attended the Global Partnership Review (GPE) Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Minister for Education, Abdullahi Abukar Haji held separate meetings with the Tanzania Minister of Education, Joyce Ndalichako, the former President of Tanzania, Jkaya Kikweta, who is currently the Chair of the International Fund for Education, and Jaima Hayme, Director of Education at the World Bank who stressed on the support and close collaboration between international education stakeholders and the Somali government.

The conference, co-organized by Duba Cares and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UAE), aims to present opportunities for the international education community to support the education needs of the third world and to engage with international stakeholders in a bid to reform the global education system.
