Ethiopian troops say they have captured the main road between Waldiya and Maqale in a fierce battle with the TPLF.
According to state television EBC, troops have been battling the TPLF in recent days in the eastern part of the country, capturing the road.
The troops also said they had captured the Zoble mountain range and surrounding towns such as Orjo, Fokiso and Booran.
The TPLF rebels fought fiercely to defend the road between Waldiya and Maqale but were eventually defeated.
Troops added that they had captured Robiit, Golbo, Warabaabo, and Mile Koticha areas in the Wuchaale area.
