Kismayo, the capital of Lower Jubba region, is today expected to host a conference on education matters between the Federal government of Somalia and the regional state officials. The Director General of the Ministry of Education of Somalia is leading the Federal delegation.
The three-day conference will focus on issues related to education in Somalia, such as unifying education in Somalia and how the Federal and State Governments can work together to improve public education in Somalia.
Jubbaland Administration Minister for Education Abdi Nasir Serar Maax said he expects the conference to produce results that will benefit Somali children, as well as exchange views.
This will be the second meeting between the Ministries of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia and the regional states and will culminate in a communiqué outlining their commitments.
