Government forces warned against interfering in the Somali elections

The commander of the Somali National Army, General Mohamed Tahliil Bihi, who was speaking on the situation in the country and the upcoming elections has warned officers and soldiers of all kinds not to get involved in the current politics and elections in the country.

The commander pointed out that the role of the forces is to only ensure the security of the elections and that its held peacefully and nothing more.

The announcement by the infantry commander comes at a time when the Somali opposition members have repeatedly decried saying that the army is bring used by Villa Somalia for own political purposes.
