It’s feared in the next 24 hours that a strong cyclone will hit some parts of the Eastern regions of Puntland, which could have a major impact.
A statement from the National Center for Massive Warning said the cyclone was feared to hit Alula, Hafun and Iskush.
All the areas that are feared to be hit by the cyclone are in Bari, Gardafuu, Karkar and Nugal regions and are coastal areas.
Cyclones such as Pawan 2019 and Gati 2020 have already occurred in some areas of Puntland regional state and causing various disasters.
