Somali Cabinet to hold extraordinary meeting today

Members of the Somali Cabinet are today expected to hold an extraordinary meeting in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, where they will discuss a raft of issues.

Members of the Council of Ministers were sent messages last night informing them of their full participation in the Cabinet meeting to be held at 2 p.m. today.

Privy Sources say the meeting could work on plans to appoint the interim director of NISA and his deputy, an issue that is likely to be on today’s agenda.

Somalia’s Council of Ministers holds its regular weekly meetings on Thursdays, but meetings on other days is said to be extraordinary and various decisions are usually made.
