The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Health said in a daily report on Corona virus that 67 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, killing eight people while 71 more are in recovery.
The Minister for Health and Social Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ms. Fowziya Abikar Nur stated that new15 cases have been reported in Somaliland, Puntland 33, Banadir 14, Jubbaland 5, and 42 of the confirmed patients are men, while 25 are women.
The number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country reached 17,466. A total of 977 people died from the disease.
Ms. Fowziya Abikar Nur called on the community to take the advice of health professionals and other public awareness campaigns on the dangers of the disease, as the risk of COVID-19 has redoubled and get vaccinated against the disease.
