The members of the Federal Electoral Commission and the members of the Jubbaland State Electoral Commission have met last night in Kismayo, the capital of Lower Jubba region.
The Chairman of the Federal Electoral Implementation Committee Mohamed Hassan Cinro and members of his Commission discussed with the Jubbaland State Electoral Implementation Committee and briefed them on the situation in the country and the election in general.
The Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) and the Jubbaland State of Somalia have agreed to expedite the electoral process, which is being closely watched by the Somali community and the international community.
Both the federal and the Jubbaland state electoral commission are expected to take note of key poll issues that are of critical importance to the Jubbaland regional state of Somalia.
