The Somali embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, has reopened after six months following a diplomatic row between Kenya and Somalia.
The opening ceremony of the embassy was held at the embassy compound and attended by some of the international ambassadors, officials of the Somali embassy and some members of the Somali community.
Somalia’s ambassador to Kenya, Mohamud Ahmed Nur (Tarsan), said relations between Somalia and Kenya have always been good and strong, and the two governments are inseparable.
Ambassador Tarsan also said that the Somali embassy in Kenya has officially opened, but will resume operations on Monday next week and called on Somalis to get the services they need from the embassy.
The Somali embassy in Nairobi has been closed for almost six months following a diplomatic row between the two countries but has recently been resolved, with the Kenyan government reopening its embassy in Mogadishu.
