Jubbaland vice president inaugurates secondary schools national exams in Kismayo

Schools in the Jubbaland regional state have today commenced the secondary schools examination with 1221 students sitting for the examination.

The form 4 matriculation examination have been conducted in 9 centers in Jubbaland, located in 7 districts of the Jubbaland state.

In Kismayo, the capital of the Jubaland state, the exams were held at three examination centers.

The inauguration of the first day of the exam was attended by the first vice president of Jubaland state Mohamud Sayid Aden as well as the newly appointed minister for education and higher education Abdi Nasir Serar Maax.

Some of the students sitting for the exams today expressed immense hope.

The Director General of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Jubaland state, Mr. Ahmed Siyad Osman, explained that the general exams have taken place today with no major incidents during the administration of the examination.

The first vice president of Jubaland regional state, Mohamud Sayid Aden, who opened the exams, urged the students of Jubaland to take the exam with outmost sincerity and confidence.

The country’s Ministry of Education normally undertakes massive changes in the conduct of examinations every year.  In last year, almost 8,000 students mostly in Banadir region have failed in their examinations .
