Several people are missing in northwestern Nigeria after their boat capsized and sank.

Most of the passengers on board were women and children, who were traveling from Niger to Kebbi State in Nigeria.

One survivor said about 40 people had been rescued, but it did not look like many would be rescued.

Local officials told the BBC that divers and rescue workers were trying to rescue others who had capsized. Five bodies were reportedly found.
