The Jubbaland state ministry of health has today opened a training course for some of the health workers in Kismayo.
The 5-day training is aimed at reducing malnutrition and how to deal with children and vulnerable people suffering from malnutrition, one of the major causes of health problems in the state.
The training will benefit 30 staff from various health facilities in Kismayo.
The Ministry of Health is being assisted in the implementation of this training by the WFP, one of the world’s leading food security agencies.
Abdi Qadir Mohammed Ali, the director of the nutrition department of the Jubbaland ministry of health who spoke to the media said the training course will aid the health workers and streamline health service delivery in the Jubbaland regional state.
