Jubbaland security forces burns assorted expired drugs in KismayoThe Jubbaland security forces have today burnt expired medicines collected from some of the pharmacies operating in Kismayo town.
Following the launch of an aggressive campaign in the town this morning, the Jubbanlad Quality Assurance Agency have seized 170 expired drugs.
Officials from the Jubbland Quality Assurance Agency have warned traders and doctors not to import or trade in medicines and other expired items.
Mohamed Muhumed Hassan Hirey of the Jubbaland Quality Assurance Agency said that they have burnt expired medicines today which is hazardous to human health.
The quality Assurance chief called on the people and businesses of Jubbaland state to work together to eradicate the selling of such items.
