Top US military officials tasked with training the Somali DANAB special forces have returned to Balli-doogle Air Force Base in Lower Shebelle region of Somalia for a major military training for DANAB forces.
The US military officers, who left the country at the behest of former US President Donald Trump, have now returned to begin the rigorous military training.
Some US officials who met with DANAB officials at Balli-doogle air force base said the United States recognizes the Somali community and will continue to support the Somali army.
The US Officials also said they would increase training for DANAB forces, which have been suspended in recent months after US officials were transferred from the Somali region and stationed in Kenya and Djibouti.
US military officers in Somalia train DANAB commandos and take part in raids and airstrikes against the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab terror group.
