Somaliland, in an official statement on the political crisis in Somalia, expressed concern about the current situation between the government and the opposition.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-declared independent Republic of Somaliland said:
“Today’s political stalemate appears to pose a serious threat to security and stability in the region and could create further problems.”
This comes amid hot controversy and widespread accusations and counter-accusations in the wake of government and House of the People controversial term mandate extension which seems to touch a wide-scale political raw nerve.
